If Kyle Schmid were standing before me right now...

I'd just have to tackle-hug him! Why? Well, read the following excerpt from the blog Tanya Huff has on the Lifetime TV website (she's the author of the "Blood" books on which Blood Ties is based). This is about last week's episode, "Wrapped":

And then Peter told me they'd got Danny Trejo to play the mummy. Definitely way cool! Danny Trejo, for those of you who don't know, is one of those amazing character actors who've been in hundreds of television episodes and movies. Check his IMDB listing and I can guarantee you've seen something he's been in. He's not the kind of guy who disappears into the background and I've been a fan of his for a long time now. He works a lot with Robert Rodriguez and he was on Death Row with Kyle. Which is how we got him. It was Kyle's idea. Like I said, definitely way cool.

That's too funny, just last night I remarked to [livejournal.com profile] serenitysangel on Kyle and Danny having been in that movie together, after having noticed their names on the IMDB listing. Squeeeee! Thank you Kyle!!! *virtual tacklehug*

And can I just say how much I love that Tanya can step back enough from her creation to fangirl the series, even though of course they're deviating constantly and particularly when an episode, like this one, is directly based on one of her books? ♥

Now if only the fan sites - anyone - could get hold of mid/hi-res promo pictures again, I'd be a very happy fangirl... yes, particularly of Danny in this episode, but generally any pics of any episode would be welcome!

Everything crossable crossed for Lifetime renewing the series for a (real) second season... particularly with only three episodes being left in this first (faux second) season, and if the end of "Wrapped" is anything to go by, things are starting to unravel... *gulp*

Hehehe.

This episode, as I'm sure you could tell, I loved! OMG! That ending 'I can't forgive you' *flails* Just awesome!

And Tanya rocks. I'm not sure there are many writers who would be so fangirlie about how their books are adapted, especially parts that are changed. But she accepts them and better yet often says how cool they worked it.

I was giggling at what Danny said about his chest, after the make-up artist had to cover them up. BWHAHAHA!

I swear to the gods, they better not end the last episode on a massive, unthinkable cliffhanger, because that will kill me...Especially with the shows future unknown.

Yes, when he said "I can't forgive you" - omgomgomg!!!!

Yup, Tanya is very very cool! :D And Danny's comment about his chest, ROTFL!!! I just ♥ this guy... he has an amazing sense of humour judging from what I saw in Champion, the documentary about him I mentioned a while ago.

omg yes, they better not do that... They just have to renew it, they have to... *flails*

I know! *flails*

*fingers tightly crossed*

Just read Tanya's comments. That's so cool. The fans are so passionate about this show. It's great to have a show with a good story with great characters to look forward to each week. I do hope they'll renew it.

Yes - it's of course different than the books, but things keep popping up, and in its own right it's a good show. I'm very impressed with Kyle Schmid who's so young yet manages to convey a sense of age and experience and wisdom in Henry, and of course Christina I already liked in Chronicles of Riddick so I'm happy to see more of her. And the whole love triangle thing is something I was always intrigued by, and is well done here IMHO.

I don't dare hold my breath but I wish very much they'd renew it...

Did you hear about those bastards showing the final two episodes online only? One is up now already, the final one will be on next Friday, I think. Of course for us non-US fans this means we can't see them, grrr. And it seems the fate of the show is completely up in the air still... *crosses fingers tightly*
