You know I can't help but feeling a little miffed about this.

How many people who had never read Lord of the Rings, went on to buy the novels after seeing the movie, and a percentage of all those sales went to Tolkien's family. And not only LOTR, those folk would have gone on to buy The Hobbit and other writings.

Talk about but a downer on things.
