All Shall Love Me and Despair

Late announcement: Some spontaneous Kinktober fics

Fri, 26 Nov 2021 20:49:54 GMT

In early October, I came across a Butcher/Hughie fic for The Boys on AO3 that was inspired by a Kinktober list, and after looking over the prompts, I spontaneously decided to fill some of them. If you're interested in reading them, you can find them collected in my Kinktober 2021 series on AO3. So far I've written some Frodo/Éomer (LotR), some Butcher/Hughie and Butcher/Becca (The Boys), as well as John Kennex/Dorian (Almost Human). I filled the prompts as inspiration came to me and have a few more in the works, so I may or may not fill the gaps at some point. If you have an account, you can subscribe to the series, or just check aforementioned link occasionally for updates. I am also planning various unrelated Frodo/Éomer fics, and hopefully I'll remember to mention here when they're online, but that may take a good while yet.

A (dark) addition to the "Closer" series...

Mon, 26 Apr 2021 02:52:25 GMT

I added another short story to my Frodo/Éomer "Closer" series on AO3, called "Dark Whispers". It is dark, so heed the tags and notes, and proceed with caution. I hope the tags are sufficient - I struggled with them for weeks, or this story would have been up much earlier. If you read it, let me know what you think!

A new short story in the "Closer" series

Thu, 25 Feb 2021 22:34:34 GMT

"(You Get Me) Closer" is finished, but I uploaded a new short story called "This One Thing". It takes place between chapters 2 and 3 of (YGM)C and you can find it here.

Chapter 3 of (You Get Me) Closer is up!

Mon, 22 Feb 2021 20:22:22 GMT

Yaaay! At long last, chapter 3 of my Frodo/Éomer fic is up on AO3!

Sorry this took so long, but getting used to my new schedule including a few hours of work each day took a while. Also, Ladysunrope had some very good suggestions for this chapter, the implementation of which took me a while to get right. (I'll just say that Éomer holds a lot of rage inside, and sometimes it threatens to take over.)

You can find the new chapter here, or read the story from the beginning here.

Chapter 2 of "(You Get Me) Closer" is up!

Sun, 17 Jan 2021 16:43:45 GMT

For those interested, I uploaded chapter 2 of my Frodo/Éomer fan fic "(You Get Me) Closer" on AO3. There's one more to go. If you have an account, you can subscribe to receive email notifications when I update the story, and if you go to the "Closer" series page, you can subscribe to be notified when I add new stories to it. There will be one short story for certain, maybe two.

If you missed my previous entry, please refer to it for more info.

I come bearing fic!

Tue, 05 Jan 2021 00:46:12 GMT

I come bearing a little New Year's gift: The first chapter of a new Frodo/Éomer fan fic:

(You Get Me) Closer at AO3

This one is rated Explicit, so if that's not your thing, you might want to stay away. Chapters 2 and 3 will follow asap; they're currently in beta. Kudos and comments/constructive criticism are always appreciated! And obviously, feel free to share the link with any LotR slash fans that you know. 🙂

I can't tell you how good it feels to finally have written (and more importantly, finished) a story after many years of nothing! We'll see if this was a fluke or it broke the dam... *fingers crossed for the latter*

New old fic

Sun, 29 Nov 2020 06:16:28 GMT

A group of Livejournal friends gathered together in summer 2007 to create a book of stories and art for our dear friend, Laura Mason a.k.a. lorie945, who was fighting ovarian cancer. That book was published and bound in a special edition and presented to her at the end of July 2007 in Chicago. The book was then published via lulu.com and sold for several months, all proceeds above cost going to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. I did subsequently post it on my LJ, I think, but when leafing through the book a few months ago, I realized that I never uploaded it to AO3, where my one Sin City fic from 2004 lingers all by itself. So today I finally fixed that! May I present to you my Frodo/Éomer pre-slash short story:

The Hobbit and the Storyteller on AO3

Another LotR fan fic search

Thu, 16 Jul 2020 02:56:06 GMT

Anyone have a copy of No Windows by Telanu? The Angst Archive where it was hosted says"removed by author request", and the Wayback Machine/internet archive doesn't have any older versions of the page.

EDIT: Oh phew, I found that I had at some point bookmarked a copy of it from FemGeeks.net that was on the Wayback Machine!

Looking for LotR fan fics

Tue, 14 Jul 2020 03:54:54 GMT

If you have me friended on Facebook, you may have seen this already and can happily scroll on by. :)

Two requests:

1) Does anyone happen to have a copy of Mews1945's "Of a Hobbit and a King"? Her LJ is deleted, the archive site where it was also saved (West of the Moon) is gone, and the Internet Archive backup of the latter only has the title page for the fic, not the chapters themselves. 😢

2) There's a fic where Dom and Elijah get transported from the LotR film set to actual Middle Earth due to disturbing a Maori artifact. Dom ends up transformed into an Orc or Uruk-hai, I believe, and both (separately) end up at Edoras. Ring any bells? I can't for the life of me remember what it is called or who wrote it, and I don't seem to have it in my bookmarks or LJ Memories.

Thank you!

Dreamwidth

Sun, 22 Jan 2017 23:24:17 GMT

Just a quick notice to let you know I'm now also on Dreamwidth! Mostly as a backup, because of the recent news that all LJ servers now seem to be in Russia... but anyway, if you have a DW account feel free to friend me over there! It's http://ourdramaqueen.dreamwidth.org/ of course.

(Fingers crossed that crossposting to LJ works...)
