Taking a break from essay writing... and I was tagged by [livejournal.com profile] not_alone!

Explain Your Live Journal User Name and its Meaning meme. When you're done, tag as many people as there are letters in your name.

Now I believe I've done this one before, but probably some of you have missed it, so...

That's pretty easy. My 'sisters' [livejournal.com profile] serenitysangel and the Queen of Evil started calling me Drama Queen since I have such a thing for angst and drama. And when I later contemplated having my own personal website, but didn't want to use anything related to my real name, Drama Queen seemed a natural choice. Since dramaqueen.com, .org etc. was already occupied, I went for ourdramaqueen.com. And once I decided to open a LJ, I just thought it would make sense to use the same screen name. VoilĂ . :)

OK, and now I have to tag... *counts* 13 people?! OK, let's see... I'm curious about the following (among others):

[livejournal.com profile] anatketani
[livejournal.com profile] banakil
[livejournal.com profile] baranduin (whenever your keyboard is functioning properly again)
[livejournal.com profile] digitallux
[livejournal.com profile] elanorgardner
[livejournal.com profile] garfeimao
[livejournal.com profile] ink_gypsy
[livejournal.com profile] karadin
[livejournal.com profile] lips_and_rouge
[livejournal.com profile] ms_erupt
[livejournal.com profile] shirasade

Thank you! I'd wondered about your LJ name, it's *such* a good one :-)

Mine is very simple. I knew I wanted some sort of Tolkien-ish name and I wanted it to be Shire-related but perhaps not completely hobbity. So Baranduin popped into my head about five seconds later, and I said, "that's it, I'm done." Brandywine would have been too Shire-connected for me, Baranduin had enough of a wider view. Though perhaps Brandywine would have been better, people do love to leave out the 'd', LOL!

It is? Why thank you. *blush*

What, sometimes people write it "Baranuin"?! Doesn't make sense to me at all, LOL. Erm, sorry to be obtuse, but isn't Baranduin=Brandywine? Just because you say it had enough of a wider view compared to Brandywine.

Meh, I wrote that wrong. People tend to misspell it Baraduin. Argh.

Yes, Baranduin=Brandywine. I found Brandywine to be too hobbity and constrained to the Shire, the Elvish version suited me better and it reminds me that the Baranduin doesn't just flow by the Shire ... I believe it starts from somewhere up by Lake Evendim and flows to the sea. Argh, wish I could picture the map in my head.

OK, plus I find Brandywine to sound twee :-) Too Renaissance Faire and all that. *am a snob*
