Countdown to Middle Earth: 2 days

Today I'll talk about an aspect of Two Towers which was also featured prominently on the EE DVD: The stunt men and women, affectionately called "stunties", who were of course in high demand for the battle of Helm's Deep in Two Towers, among many other scenes. I googled some of the names I could remmeber from the documentaries and found that there is a Stunt Guild of New Zealand, and with the exception of one member, all of them were involved with LOTR one way or another. (Which on a side note makes me wonder if it was founded during/after LOTR filming.) The exception is a stunt actress called Min Windle, who is Naomi Watt's stunt double in King Kong, another film which uses many of the LOTR veterans. Take a look around - some of these stunties have a rather impressive CV!
