All good things come to an end...
Oct. 15th, 2007 06:39 pmand so did, inevitably, RingCon 2007. Had a blast, despite Karl's cancellation. It was so lovely to see LJ friends old and new - I hope everyone had a safe trip home. *waves*
Did lots of listening, sitting, standing, queueing, clapping, walking around, laughing, posing for and taking pics, staying up way too late (or early, depending on your POV), perving on (over?) various guests and staff and con-goers (and half-naked Karl, on the laptop if not in person), geeking out, getting all nostalgic and homesick for NZ browsing through pics at the Red Carpet Tours table, talking about LotR and films and music, and and and... The panels were all interesting and/or entertaining, and I got a photo with Andy Serkis and all autographs, excluding the two PotC guests' but including the lovely, talented, charming, gracious, enthusiastic, utterly adorable Daniel Falconer's (Weta designer), who for some reason unfathomable to any of us wasn't in the autograph session lineup! No, there was no stalking involved. ;)
Off to have dinner now and then a bath, and then I'll see if I can stay awake or if I'll just crawl out of the bathtub and straight into bed! Thank goodness I have the rest of the week off... :) Talk to you sometime soon!
