Late Xmas mail and a birthday wish

suzy_74 - thank you, dear, and have a wonderful Happy Birthday today! :D
At long last, I also received the parcel my Mum sent by priority mail on December 10 or 11, and which should have taken 1, maybe 2 weeks to get here! I had almost given up on it, but thankfully it turned into a case of 'better late than never' and not 'lost in transit or nicked by someone passing by the parcel waiting outside the apartment door'. I really would have hated to miss out on Mum's "Nussstängel" (hazelnut bars - her signature Christmas biscuits) and the jar of sweet-sour/bitter cranberries (delicious with venison or any other meat, as well as on their own) that she makes after her own recipe with the cranberries growing wild in the mountains at home. But now I can indulge - yummy!
