Yes - in this fic it works because this is exactly what Elijah wants/needs, and also it helps that Karl does hesitate at first, until he is sure that Elijah knows what he wants - so it's not quite as bad as many.

Damn I'm sure there were some more, but I can't for the life of me find them in my favourites right now... I really need to start sorting them by pairing! Will let you know when I come up with more!
