Finished last night. It's so good to see the old Seregil back, finally!!! A few things that strike me as a bit odd about the end: No mention of the goodbye from Beka at all. And no reaction to the news that old Runcer is dead. I mean, he worked for Seregil for so long and kept so many secrets... Still, very minor quibbles, loved it overall. I'm very curious about that prophecy regarding Alec! And I have an inkling why the dragon bit Thero where it did... *giggle* Hopefully we'll learn more about that in Book 4? Which brings me to this post by author Lynn Flewelling on her LJ...
YOU MEAN WE HAVE TO WAIT MORE THAN A YEAR FOR BOOK 4???!!!
*distressed whimper*
Apparently her deadline to deliver the manuscript is July 31st 2007. I'd never thought it would that that long from then on to publish a book! Half a year, certainly - the editors will have a thing or three to say so that means some to and fro. But... A YEAR?!
I guess I should pray to Illior that it won't take longer... *wibble*
ETA: Cute tidbit about Seregil and his troubles with magic from the Flewelling Yahoogroup:
Didn't the Goddess (i.e. Lynn) once say that Seregil's

Hiya Andrea! Old timer indeed, too. ;-)
Yep, you recall rightly. It's the magical equivalent of being dyslexic, or color blind. He's just
that way. Magically challenged?
Lynn
N'awww! :)
And someone at the group suggested this guy as Seregil, but I agree with those who say he's more like Thero - maybe not quite gaunt enough, but still. More pictures of him.
Which reminds me, must show you who
samena came up with for Mardus, if she doesn't beat me to it. :)
omg someone shut me up please!
ETA2: Sorry, but you should be happy that I didn't make a new post! ;) But this had me ROTFL and I thought those of you who've read the books - and I think even those who haven't - might enjoy it too! Lynn's introduction:
I thought you might enjoy this brief excusion into the back brain of your Humble Author. Flashlight, tazer, and fantod repellent highly recommended.
So without further ado, here it is. The infamous lost last chapter of Traitor's Moon. (Yes, I really submitted it) The one they said was too hot to handle! Too piquant to publish!! Too dirty to distribute-!!! Well, you get the idea.
