Hi from Dragon*Con!

Sorry for not replying to earlier comments yet, but I've had spotty internet access over the past... err, several days.
I'm in Atlanta now with my friend H., for Dragon*Con. Only had to stand in the pre-registration queue for 2 1/2 hours to get my badge this afternoon... while the queue for new registrations was about 30 mins! o_O It would have been even longer if one of H.'s friends hadn't been ahead in the pre-registration queue, so we were able to join her.
It's not midnight yet but I've been back in our room for about an hour already, since we had a late one last night: We went to a midnight screening of Machete which was great! Totally over the top obviously, and thus hilarious! Can't wait for Machete Kills and Machete Kills Again. ;)
So, Dragon*Con so far - let's see... I haven't done much besides registering today - even missed out on Sean Maher and Jewel Staite's panel, which was at the one con hotel that is further away from the others. I know, bad BAD fan, but I really had to put my feet up after standing in line so long! Will see if I can get Sean's autograph on a certain picture tomorrow *winks at
greenie_breizh, and also Summer Glau's - she's a late addition to the program, which is great since I haven't met her yet. There's not much going on that I absolutely have to see, apart from the Firefly stuff, so it should be a fairly relaxed con, despite the masses of people and the various events being spread out between four hotels. This will hopefully also make it easier to coordinate meeting up with
textualdeviance & hubbie at some point. :)
Oh yeah - while I was at dinner, Sean Harry of Starfury Conventions, as well as Marc B. Lee (usual M.C. at RingCon, apart from this year) walked by. Also saw Armin Shimerman (at least I think it was him) and Rene Auberjonois(sp?) from afar while queueing for registration.
I will be wearing my Inara costume tomorrow (and possibly Sunday), but I'm not sure if I should don it in the morning already or only later. Ah, I'll decide after I've had another look at my probable activities, and a good night's sleep.
Night night/good morning!
