Not pleased with laptop which suddenly won't connect to the internet anymore, or if it does, only for brief moments. Seems travelling doesn't suit it! *rolls eyes* At least I'm having no such problems on the desktop, so it's definitely the laptop and not the wireless router that is having a problem.

Anyway - just had to mention that The Return of the King - The Complete Recordings is now available for pre-order (see Amazon.com and Amazon.co.uk - haven't seen it on Amazon.de yet) to be released November 6th! \o/

Also, LotR did very well at the Movies.com Fan Poll! \o/

Another article regarding the New Line fine in the FotR royalties dispute from Yahoo News:

For a complex entertainment case, where lawyer gamesmanship over access to documents and witnesses is fairly common, Hillman's language and the amount of the penalty are striking. "It's almost unheard of," says litigator Neville Johnson, who frequently tangles with studios. "You rarely see sanctions, and you certainly don't see sanctions that high."

"The Frodo Franchise" author Kristin Thomas has a new entry up in her blog: "Sifting through the latest Hobbit project buzz".

Has anyone reading this seen a film called Perfect Creature (IMDB page)? [livejournal.com profile] lilithlotr and others who saw (Green Street) Hooligans might be interested to hear that Leo Gregory is in it - as the bad guy, not surprisingly. I of course couldn't resist the combination of New Zealand and Vampires... and while you don't see any NZ landscapes due to the alternative future/present/reality aspect of the film, I thought it was well done and I liked the actors in it. some ramblings about the two leads ) If you're interested in vampire films, do catch it if you can. I certainly wouldn't mind a sequel, myself... :)
