My precious.... tickets
Nov. 7th, 2012 10:23 amSitting on tenterhooks until AMC Theatres open ticket sales for The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey, which apparently happens at noon EST today.
The confusing thing is that the AMC theatre closest to us which shows the HFR (High Frame Rate, a.k.a. 48 fps) version, lists it as "High Frame Rate IMAX 3D" - but according to TORn's list of theatres that show the HFR 3D version, the IMAX 3D version is NOT in HFR! So here's hoping that the AMC screening we're looking at actually IS in HFR... As some of you know, I'm not overly fond of 3D - though Brave was bearable and didn't give me a headache, as some other 3D movies have in the past - but with the HFR version, I think The Hobbit will be worth it! So I want to make sure that I get to see it the way PJ intended for it to be seen. *fingers crossed*
Also hope the tickets for the midnight screening won't be sold out already by the time we get back from grocery shopping. *toes crossed too, for good measure*
