Buena Vista Home Entertainment has sent over early details on the third season of Lost which stars Matthew Fox and Evangeline Lily. This new seven-disc package will be available to own from the 11th December. All 23 episodes will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround tracks. Extras will include audio commentaries, a one-on-one with Matthew Fox, a featurette on The Others, a documentary chronicling 24 hours in production, never before seen flashbacks, behind the scenes looks at 10 episodes, deleted scenes, and bloopers.

They better include a behind-the-scenes look at "Greatest Hits"...

Oh I'll get the DVDs, but I won't watch that particular extra. Jack has gotten very annoying - not only to me, not by far - and yet they keep giving him the most screentime!

I will buy it because I am a completist when it comes to Dom. Let's face it - he's been in some pretty marginal stuff but that hasn't stopped me so there's no reason to let the fact that Lost is quickly joining that category stop me. I wish I could pick and choose which disks to buy, though, so that I could skip at least the first six episodes.

It occured to me that in light of events on the final episode, I won't have to buy the final three seasons. What's the point?

Oh yes, I already pre-ordered it at Amazon. I actually liked the first six episodes. Still haven't caught up with the rest though, except for "Greatest Hits" and the finale.

I'll keep watching and see how things develop.

Blech. Matthew Fox leaves me cold. The bloopers, however, might be fun. Definitely a renter and not a buyer, I think.

I used to like Jack, but now... Yup, blech pretty much covers it. Oh yes, bloopers and behind-the-scenes footage and additional flashback scenes will be interesting. I'll get this set, if only for Dom, but will see about further seasons.
