For those interested, Kristin Thompson posted her comments on yesterday's news about Guillermo del Toro being in talks to direct The Hobbit at her blog, including a little overview of his career so far. I had forgotten that he and PJ were in talks for the Halo film which was scrapped.

AGH! TORN is now reporting gossip that Del Toro confirmed it at a French screening of The Orphanage.

And also... apparently Howard Shore is on board? OMG YES.

What, where? The last news item I see is the happy birthday wishes for Elijah.

As for Howard... I certainly hope he is!!!! It just wouldn't be right for someone else to score The Hobbit! Where did you hear about that?
