NEVER ENDING ICON GLEE

One of my "fetish" series. The sunflower photoshoot is one of my favourites with Elijah Wood, and in this particular picture I just loved the angle of his wrist and the coloring and... everything, so I just had to make an icon. Mostly used in Elijah related posts.


Joaquin Phoenix in 8mm. His character's name is Max, and he doesn't only look cool with his skin-tight PVC shirt, leather pants, and punk hair and make-up and piercings, but he also plays him amazingly, hence the play on words with his name, "to the Max". I guess I mostly use it either for Joaquin posts or when mentioning big efforts/achievements, things like that.


The ever-busy Danny Trejo as Cucuy (yup, one of the baddies) in Once Upon a Time in Mexico. He looks so cool with the stringy long hair and dressed all in black, and this is one of my favourite shots from the film. Certainly a guy who's "not to be messed with", and useful when I'm pissed off or talking about people who stood up for themselves.


This is from a relatively early Daniel Dae Kim photoshoot, and I like the symbolism in the picture with the mirror - plus with the suit and bowler hat it reminds me of a particular well-known painting, can't remember the artist or its title of course. I often use it for more introspective posts.


And last but not least - topless Simon Tam from Firefly. Like serenitysangel said, nothing to explain there "cause well...hello body!" *drools*

Is that a MatisseMagritte painting, the guy with the bowler hat? I dunno, the name just popped into my head - but it might just have been an image I saw at an exhibition where there were also Mattisse paintings... Yep, Magritte it was, I'm pretty sure. *g*
