Tomorrow or soon after I'll have to fillet a fish for the first time ever. You see, I bought this Pachcha Perumal rice (Traditional red rice from Sri Lanka - how could I resist?!) and on the package there's a recipe for seabass curry which sounds yummy. I was able to find all ingredients - except it's impossible to find seabass fillets here! So yesterday on the way home I asked at one shop that carries fish, and they can order it, but only whole fish. So yup, I'll have to fillet it myself at home. I don't even have a proper fish knife, so it will be interesting to find out if any of my knives will prove sharp enough for the task! At least the instructions I found online make it look fairly simple - and hey, it's only me who will know if I completely butcher the poor thing! ;)

I'll keep you posted on how the curry turned out!

I don't think I've ever had red rice before, despite having been to Sri Lanka several times. So I'm very curious how it tastes. One supermarket in town have it in their "fine food" series. I'll update you on how it was!
