It's not like I paid attention this year - I didn't even know they were on last night - but I must admit to being a bit miffed at District 9 not winning a single Oscar. I did't expect them to win Best picture, but *something* would have been nice.

Oh well. Those of us who've seen it know what a great little film it is!

i never paid much attention to the movie, but what i saw during the awards made me wanna watch it.. definitely!

It's cleverly made, particularly considering it's a fairly low budget movie. Of course WETA Digital's involvement ensures the quality of the special effects.

i totally forgot about the oscars till i saw the ad for the show. but i also have to admit that i cannot remember having seen any of the nominated movies. and the winner for best picture? i guess i have never heard of it before!

Gosh - the Oscars were on last night! I totally missed everything but then my mind is not exactly focused on outside events at the moment. Pity about District 9 but then I've always thought the more interesting films get overlooked.

I'm disappointed that Anthony Tucci didn't win for best supporting actor in Lovely Bones (or that anything else from that film wasn't nominated) :(

I like District 9 too. It's like watching a very disturbing documentary film, and it had enough excitement for two movies once it got rolling.

Oh yes! I liked the pseudo-documentary style, and the action was very well done.
