In early October, I came across a Butcher/Hughie fic for The Boys on AO3 that was inspired by a Kinktober list, and after looking over the prompts, I spontaneously decided to fill some of them. If you're interested in reading them, you can find them collected in my Kinktober 2021 series on AO3. So far I've written some Frodo/Éomer (LotR), some Butcher/Hughie and Butcher/Becca (The Boys), as well as John Kennex/Dorian (Almost Human). I filled the prompts as inspiration came to me and have a few more in the works, so I may or may not fill the gaps at some point. If you have an account, you can subscribe to the series, or just check aforementioned link occasionally for updates. I am also planning various unrelated Frodo/Éomer fics, and hopefully I'll remember to mention here when they're online, but that may take a good while yet.

I added another short story to my Frodo/Éomer "Closer" series on AO3, called "Dark Whispers". It is dark, so heed the tags and notes, and proceed with caution. I hope the tags are sufficient - I struggled with them for weeks, or this story would have been up much earlier. If you read it, let me know what you think!

Yaaay! At long last, chapter 3 of my Frodo/Éomer fic is up on AO3!

Sorry this took so long, but getting used to my new schedule including a few hours of work each day took a while. Also, Ladysunrope had some very good suggestions for this chapter, the implementation of which took me a while to get right. (I'll just say that Éomer holds a lot of rage inside, and sometimes it threatens to take over.)

I can't tell you how good it feels to finally have written (and more importantly, finished) a story after many years of nothing! We'll see if this was a fluke or it broke the dam... *fingers crossed for the latter*

A group of Livejournal friends gathered together in summer 2007 to create a book of stories and art for our dear friend, Laura Mason a.k.a.

lorie945, who was fighting ovarian cancer. That book was published and bound in a special edition and presented to her at the end of July 2007 in Chicago. The book was then published via lulu.com and sold for several months, all proceeds above cost going to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. I did subsequently post it on my LJ, I think, but when leafing through the book a few months ago, I realized that I never uploaded it to AO3, where my one Sin City fic from 2004 lingers all by itself. So today I finally fixed that! May I present to you my Frodo/Éomer pre-slash short story:

A group of LJ friends gathered together in summer 2007 to create a book of stories and art for our dear friend, lorie945, who is fighting ovarian cancer. That book was published and bound in a special edition for her and presented to her at the end of July 2007 in Chicago. The book was then published via lulu.com and sold for several months, all proceeds above cost going to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.

Now that six months have elapsed, the authors are now posting their stories on-line at lories_friends and in their LJs and web sites. We hope you'll friend the community (it's members-only for the LJers who participated in the project) so you can see all the stories as they begin to appear on-line.

I'm a good month late with this, but - I was amazed to see - not the last one in this time! In fact, I'm still amazed I managed to finish this story at all. Maybe I need someone to set up strict deadlines for all my writing...
