February 2: WHITE NOISE sequel to bypass U.S. theaters
Fango got the word from a source who should know that WHITE NOISE: THE LIGHT, the sequel to the surprise-hit paranormal thriller of a couple of winters back, will be going straight to DVD in the U.S., bypassing initially planned theatrical play via Rogue Pictures. Universal Home Entertainment will release the disc, but no street date or supplemental details have yet been announced; we’ll keep you posted. The new WHITE NOISE, directed by Patrick (DRACULA 2000) Lussier from a Matt (PELTS) Venne script and starring SLiTHER’s Nathan Fillion as a man who is brought back from the brink of death with the ability to foresee who among the living will soon die, did make it to big screens in Britain last month (poster pictured here); click here to see the movie’s UK website. —Michael Gingold
Guess the UK got lucky this time! But at least it will be released on DVD.
Also, Dom's next film I Sell the Dead doesn't only have me excited because OMG new Dom!, but also because it features Ron Perlman and... Larry Fessenden! Who wrote and directed Wendigo with one of my long-time harem members, Jake Weber, and I also have Larry's previous two films in his "trilogy of horror" on DVD, No Telling and Habit, which I liked a lot. *should really watch all three again* Larry is a quirky guy, and I can imagine him and Dom play off each other well! Fangoria talked to Larry about the film:

February 1: Larry Fessenden talks I SELL THE DEAD & its cast
Filmmaker Larry (WENDIGO) Fessenden, who has also taken numerous acting turns in everything from Brad Anderson’s SESSION 9 to Jim Jarmusch’s BROKEN FLOWERS, tipped us off that he’ll be appearing alongside genre fave Ron (HELLBOY) Perlman and Dominic (LOST) Monaghan in writer/director Glenn McQuaid’s horror feature I SELL THE DEAD. Set up at Fessenden’s Glass Eye Pix under the ScareFlix banner (also responsible for THE ROOST, AUTOMATONS and the upcoming TRIGGER MAN), I SELL THE DEAD will be an extension of director McQuaid’s period short film THE RESURRECTION APPRENTICE (see item here), and revolves around a pair of grave-robbers (played by Fessenden, reprising his role from the short as pictured here, and Monaghan) who find that some of the corpses they unearth aren’t as dead as they may like.
Fessenden, who also served as executive producer on last year’s ZOMBIE HONEYMOON and will do the same here, tells Fango, “We’ve had a couple of false starts getting I SELL THE DEAD under way, and we finally found a tiny window when Dominic was available after his LOST obligations, and Ron can do the film before he gets shipped off to do HELLBOY 2.” Fessenden, who acted opposite Perlman in his latest directorial effort, the psychological horror film THE LAST WINTER, says that’s he honored to do so again, and is looking forward to “getting a piece of Ron before Guillermo puts him through the wringer!” In addition to Perlman as the “imposing Father Duffy,” the movie also features Brenda (AUTOMATONS) Cooney, John (THE ROOST) Speredakos and RESURRECTION APPRENTICE's Daniel Manche, and Fessenden says he’s “so happy it has brought some of the Glass Eye Pix regulars together with a new batch of great actors. We met with Dominic and Ron in LA and the chemistry was there, so we have high hopes for the project.”
Slated to commence shooting this May, I SELL THE DEAD has received a considerably larger budget than previous ScareFlix productions, though Fessenden notes, “We haven’t abandoned our no-budget model, but each [film] requires a unique approach, and to get the period details right we’ll need a few extra hands on deck. Glenn’s script and the world he has created will be worth the extra effort.” As for the FX, Fessenden reveals that Brian (SHADOW: DEAD RIOT) Spears of G&S Effects has been tapped to provide the special makeup, with director McQuaid himself set to tackle the CGI (as he did on THE ROOST). Another longtime collaborator, composer Jeff Grace, has signed on to provide the music. “He’s our magic weapon,” Fessenden says. “Jeff scored THE ROOST, THE LAST WINTER and TRIGGER MAN, and he’s always able to adapt to whatever genre we throw at him.”

Can't wait to hear and see more about this! I shall have to keep an eye on Larry's website too.
