*big yawn*

I was seriously considering calling in sick this morning - yup, slept badly again last night. Dozed, turned, dozed, turned, dozed... *rolls eyes* Oh yeah, and I kept dreaming snippets of Pitch Black. No, not the "monster in the dark" bits (they weren't that scary), more character interaction stuff. I felt a bit better after I had my tea this morning, though, so decided that I'd go in and I could still go home if I felt too bad. So far it's mostly okay. I guess I'll survive, then. ;)
The reason why I dreamed Pitch Black was that I saw it for the first time last night, finally. I of course have already seen The Chronicles of Riddick several times - yes, because Karl's in it :) - and have been curious to see PB since then. I must say I quite like them both, particularly the sense of humour that runs through. I also like Vin Diesel - not only from what I've seen of him in these two films, but also from some talk show appearance I happened to catch last year. He was promoting that film - sorry, can't remember the title - where he plays a mafia guy who decides to defend himself in court. Vin doesn't seem to take himself too seriously, which I always like in people. :)
*yawn* Right. Work... *sigh*

Date: 2007-02-08 07:46 am (UTC)Oh, I found a fantastic Riddick/Firefly crossover! No pairings but it's really well written and the characterizations are pretty spot on.
Yes you were right, Vaako did say "Dame" - seems I just misheard it! Ahaha yes, I'd definitely figure her the biting/scratching etc. type!
Dammit, I re-watched CoR and now I want to re-watch PB again... :)

Date: 2007-02-08 08:23 am (UTC)BTW, if the background bothers you, you can also read it here. That's where I first read it, back in the day. I started reading at night and I read straight on till morning. I got about half-way through the entire story in one night. :)
Riddick/Firefly sounds good. I read a Riddick/Darth Maul fic once. That was actually the first graphic slash fic I ever read. It's not on the net anymore, because the author went pro.
You should buy the PB DVD. And I should rewatch mine again. :) I uploaded my Riddick icon again, especially for the occasion. *g*

Oh yeah, just added PB to my Amazon Wishlist, might get it soon. And omg. There's a 2-disc edition of CoR with a commentary - featuring Karl among others... adlkjfaödjfasdfimsoreplacingmy1-disceditionalskhdföadf!!!
