Computer-less weekend catchup

So how does ODQ spend her weekend when totally computerless?
Saturday:
Sunday:
*Lately, I seem to sleep quite deeply for a while every night, but then wake up early-ish (i.e. at least an hour before the alarm goes off during the week/way before noon on weekends), probably doze off again but of course when I'm going back to deeper sleep it's time to get up! It's better than outright insomnia/not being able to fall asleep, like I did for a while, but I still don't get enough quality sleep for my body to truly recover. Of course it doesn't help that since coming back from humid Hong Kong, I feel the dry air here even more than usual. If this keeps up I may have to get the air humidifier/cleaner going already, instead of only in winter...
I guess that's about it - I know there were one or two other things I thought I'd have to mention, but obviously have slipped my mind. Can't be that important then! ;)
Saturday:
- Got quite a bit of reading done, snuggled up in my hammock seat out in the winter garden, with the connecting door to the balcony open, enjoying the lovely weather. Finished "Babylon Babies" - it really is a fascinating world that Dantec invented, and many things seem quite likely to happen in the not-too-distant future.
- Watched episodes 11 and 12 of Doctor Who's second season on BBC Prime (via Bluewin TV which I'm currently trying out - yay for British channels!). Finale next Saturday. One of the other BBC channels is also repeating S2 on Mondays (I think? Need to look it up again.), but they're still earlier in the season, so I get to catch up, whee.
- Watched all three Prophecy movies. (Apparently there's a fourth one but without Christopher Walken - not really interested.)
Sunday:
- Mum made freshly-collected mushrooms - one of her specialties - for lunch, accompanied by polenta. Yummy!
- I napped for most of the afternoon after getting home. It wasn't really because of having eaten so much (I LOVE Mum's mushroom recipe) but because I hadn't slept (well) enough.*
- I did get some reading done in the evening though, yay.
- Linkin Park on MTV Masters (which I'd seen before) and MTV Noise! \o/
- Caught a Babylon A.D. teaser trailer on one of the ITV channels. Wheee!
- Saw an episode of one of the German emigration reality series which featured, among others, a couple and her two kids who 9 months prior to filming had emigrated to NZ. Next episode apparently features another family moving to NZ - I shall have to tune in!

Date: 2008-09-01 12:09 pm (UTC)I still have to catch up on sleep too. Didn't sleep at all after the computer nightmare. You'd think I'd get used to it with the constant insomnia, but not a chance. I miss sleeping like I used to be able to *pouts* Hope you catch up on yours! *hug*

I recommend it - it's very unintrusive and the price is very fair, IMHO. I guess the recovery process will take a while, considering the amount of data I had on my computer!
