Back from the Children's Monologues

Got back to my hotel a short while ago and am completely knackered, but had a wonderful evening! Met some familiar faces and some new ones at our little meetup prior to the show - sadly not enough time to talk to everyone, and we were short two people, one announced, one unannounced. I hope everyone had a good evening! The play was very impressive and powerful - and my hat off to all the actors who participated, because they only had eight hours today to rehearse with director Danny Boyle! Afterwards, _doodle, her friend Laura and me headed to the afterparty (we were the only ones from our group with gold tickets), and we got the book from our goodie bag signed by Benedict, and pics with him! He was so lovely! Afterwards we hung around the bar, discreetly admiring the view ;) until Benedict left, and then headed to our respective hotels too.

Will have to write down a few more details (and post the pic of me & Mr. Cumberbatch) after I've had some sleep (which means sometime after I got home, i.e. tomorrow night or Tuesday), as I'm almost yawning my head off - _doodle, I'll probably need your help to fill in the gaps!

Now I better roll into bed before my head hits the keyboard... night night!

It was! Though many of the monologues were rather harrowing to listen to. It's sad to think that children would have to go through such horrible things. But there was also hope, thankfully.

I just wanted to say thank you for organising the meet-up, I had a really great time though I'm sorry we didn't get to chat (it was too loud in the bar to shout to the other end of the table unfortunately). Glad to read you met Benedict as well! Can't wait to see your pic! :D
