The casting of Stuart Townsend is especially interesting as I read an interview with him in which he said he was treated badly and would never work with Jackson again. Guess the price was right.

I saw the KEY ROLES FILLED BY STUART TOWNSEND, SAIORSE RONAN FOR THE HOBBIT one this morning, and I was all WTF?! Why would PJ want him after he had lost his part in LOTR? It took me a looong while before it dawned on me that it was April Fools Day today. :D
