My Kill Hannah CD ("Until There's Nothing Left of Us") and my Blood books (the omnibus editions) by Tanya Huff have arrived! I won't lack reading material anytime soon, what with the first book of the Night Runner series I bought in London, on recommendation of
samena, and some non-fiction books I've had for a while and still haven't finished.

Date: 2007-05-11 05:29 pm (UTC)It's a fantasy series. This is from the back cover of the first book, Luck in the Shadows (http://www.amazon.com/Luck-Shadows-Nightrunner-Vol-1/dp/0553575422/):
When young Alec of Kerry is taken prisoner for a crime he didn't commit, he is certain that his life is at an end. But the one thing he never expected was his cellmate. Spy, rogue, thief, and noble, Seregil of RhÃminee is many things - none of them predictable. And when he offers to take on Alec as an apprentice, things may never be the same for either of them. Soon Alec is traveling roads he never knew existed, toward a war he never suspected was brewing. Before long he and Seregil are embroiled in a sinister plot that runs deeper than either can imagine, and that may cost them far more than their lives if they fail. But fortune is as unpredictable as Alec's new mentor, and this time there just might be... Luck in the Shadows.
I'm only in chapter 8 of 41, but there are hints of some sexual tension developing between Alec and Seregil, and according to samena, they'll get together towards the end of the second book.

Date: 2007-05-11 05:38 pm (UTC)It was interesting. When I logged onto Borders, as always, it takes me to Amazon, and when I searched for the book, on the left side of the page they give you book lists, and they were all for gay themed books. So, now I have even more items on my to-read list.
