Only just now was able to get online for the first time today - for some reason I just couldn't connect to any of the wireless networks that are in the area, be it with my computer or my laptop. Neither could my sister who lives next door. Very weird! I hope whatever the problem was is now gone for good.

And I found some great news in my e-mail: Stingray is finally coming to DVD!!!! Nick Mancuso all mysterious, wearing a leather jacket driving around in that gorgeous black Corvette Stingray! *whimper* It will be released in about half a year only, but at least it's finally coming! Guess that means Amazon.ca will be getting business from me! ;)

While I was unable to get online, I used the time to catch up on some downloads. First was First Snow with Guy Pearce and William Fichtner *winks at [livejournal.com profile] serenitysangel. Interesting film with a slow buildup - sometimes borderline too slow, but the performances are good, and of course Guy looks gorgeous. And talk about an ending left open to the interpretation of the viewer! Now I have a craving to watch The Proposition again...

Then it was the Captain Jack episodes of Doctor Who's first season. Lots of fun! :D I really can't wait for the second season of Torchwood!

Right, off I go to catch up on my flist now...

BBC America is just now bringing us the first season of Torchwood. I'm awfully glad they're finally showing it. I'm having fun with it.

Captain Jack is a very naughty man... as is John Barrowman! You should check out some of his TV appearances on Youtube - he's hilarious! I've linked some particular gems, which you can find under his tag (http://ourdramaqueen.livejournal.com/tag/people:+john+barrowman).

I have many more on my John Barrowman playlist at Youtube (http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=01D5FD123A302E17)... if you don't have time to go searching. :)

Thank you so much for the links. I watched some of the interview with Charlotte Church, and will watch the rest when I get more time to spare, but just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed it. He's such a charming young man, isn't he? And he can sing! Wow. Watched him sing Maria, from WSS and he just blew me away. I'll enjoy going through all the videos you've linked for me. Thank you so much. I really appreciate your sharing your links with me and allowing me to get to know more about this wonderful man.

Yay! Such aweseomeness just HAS to be shared! Charming and hilarious, and what I love most about him - right up there with him just being himself - is the way he laughs: all out, no holds barred. Like I wrote in one of my earlier entries about him, I expect him to one day fall out of his seat and end up literally ROTFL. :D As for young - John's 39. That is, if the Never Mind the Buzzcocks episode where he said that is from this year - if it's from 2006 then he's 40. But he's one of those guys who make it difficult to guess their age.

Two talk show appearances I particularly recommend are Al Murry and Jonathan Ross, both on my Youtube JB playlist in several parts each. There are six (I think) Jonathan Ross clips, and while you can skip the ones with Eddie Izzard from that show, do watch the Janice Dickinson ones, as there's some great banter going on between her and Jonathan on stage, and John and Sir Andrew Lloyd-Webber in the green room.

HA! And that from the master of depth... So now one is shallow already when one thinks a TV series is fun, eh? ;)

Master of depth! I like that!!
Seriously what do you think of Torchwood? I like it but don't think it has the fun that Dr who has. Will stick with it for season 2 though. (do you know when that starts??)

LOL!

Well, I can't relly compare with Doctor Who because the Capatain Jack episodes are the only ones I've seen - but I do like Torchwood. I like the adult feel to it, and the dark edge. I guess we can expect Jack to lighten up a bit now though - it would only make sense. From what I've heard season 2 will start in January. I can't wait!
