Wow
ladysunrope, you'd love it here right now - we got a decent amount of snow since yesterday, so there's now LOTS of untouched snow lying about, with more falling. :)
Blah, back at work. Like
serenitysangel said in her last post, I could really do without work, if not for the no money coming in issue!
Today, and particularly tomorrow, will no doubt be interesting... I slept about two, maybe three hours last night! Went to bed at a somewhat decent time, but despite being tired couldn't fall asleep. Not so surprising, considering the times I'd gone to bed the previous couple of nights, but I had thought I was tired enough to sleep. Since I wasn't, I decided instead of tossing and turning I'd get up again, and typed up something that had been going through my mind for a while. Then I remembered that I still hadn't filled in the short questionnaire for the bi-monthly in-house paper at work (as of 1st January I'm a new member of the editing team, whee!), which I had intended to do over Christmas/New Year, so since I still didn't feel sleepy I next did that. Then I looked something up online, but finally decided despite still not being sleepy enough to sleep, I'd really
have to go to bed now, or I wouldn't even have to bother anymore. It still took me quite a while until I fell asleep - certainly didn't before 4am - but at least I dozed most of that time. So far I'm not feeling too bad, though I'm certainly not bristling with energy, but from previous experience I know that usually the day after the day after is much worse. So I hope that tonight I manage to go to bed early and will be able to fall asleep immediately!
On the creative front, I made some progress with my mood theme, which I've been working on for I don't know how many months already, on and off. I still have about 20 moods to go and don't have ideas for all of them yet, but have made a list of additional DVDs to sift through for screen caps, so I'm hoping to get it finished over the next week or two. It's a lot of work (there are something like 165 moods, I think, or even more?), and of course it's easy to get lost in whatever film or TV series you hunt through for suitable caps, thus losing time, LOL. I admire those people who crank out mood themes within a short time - but then they're usually limited to, say, one actor or TV series, while this one of mine encompasses all my favourites, so there is much more source material to go through. And it is fun, so it's all good, and I guess it keeps me out of mischief. ;)
